Juneteenth Freedom Celebration

Volunteering with HERStory is always an opportunity for which I am immensely grateful. But, doing so at the Juneteenth celebration in our community was even better. We danced, we listened to community leaders speak, and most importantly, we spread the word about the much-needed work HERStory does in the community. We connected with city council members and birthing people alike, all of which were just as impressed as I am each and every time I speak about the work of the organization. Words cannot do justice to the vibes of freedom, community, and above all, hope. Please enjoy these photos from the event :)
